What is LessonQuest?

The primary goal of LessonQuest is to allow student access to educational curricular topics and lessons online with the intent of extending student learning time. The benefits for extending learning time has shown an increase in student achievement and improved student attitudes toward school. It has also shown increased parental satisfaction and involvement in education. Through this project, students with limited access to technology in the classroom will have learned to use and incorporate technology as an integral part of their lives.
LessonQuest provides an integrated series of thematic instructional units that allows a student to extend their creativity and higher-level thinking skills. The "hands on" interactive lessons LessonQuest offers, allows students the ability to see as they do, and learn as they go. Students have no problem embracing technology and the benefits that it generates. One of the keys to the effectiveness of LessonQuest lies in the recognition by that all people have learning strengths and weaknesses. The recognition of these strengths and weaknesses allows us to develop the potential of all students. The modification of the learning environment through the use of technology has to consider the individual for it to be effective. LessonQuest advocates a change in delivery and design, allowing every student to learn at their own rate in a variety of different ways. |
