1. Write 2 poems. Be prepared to read them to the teacher and class.
2. Tell what the themes are of the 2 poems described above. For example in Shel Silverstein's "Sick" a girl plays that she's sick because she doesn't want to go to school, she then discovers it's Saturday and hurries out to play.
3. Choose one of your poems and list the descriptive words used to show feeling or mood. Tell how these words made you feel.
