PROJECT IDEAS

The following areas provide many ideas for Science Fair Projects. Visit each of the sites below, become familiar with each, and answer the following questions.

  2. Which category (Biology, Space, etc.) at the Franklin Institute Activities Online site seemed to have the most interesting projects ideas? Why do you think so?
  3. List one interesting project from Newton's Apple and describe how you got to it once you entered the site.
  4. What was the Bill Nye the Science Guy site "Demo of the Day?"
  5. List at least 3 ideas from Science Fair Ideas and Science Project sites that look interesting to you.

RESEARCH YOUR TOPIC

After you have chosen your Science Fair Project idea, you can use the Internet to find more information about your topic. Listed below are several science sites that you can visit to find more information about your specific area of study.

Instructions:

Your task is to search for and print out at least 2 pieces of information that relate to your Science Fair Project topic. Document the URL (site address) of each. Remember the information you print is to be used as a reference and should be summarized using your own words if you choose to use it in your display. You may also print any pictures, charts, tables, etc. that you find useful. Please ask for help if you are having difficulty finding information on your topic!

GRADING

When your Science Fair Project is completed, you will receive 2 grades; one in Science and one in Technology. Your Technology grade will be based on how well you followed the instructions on this page, the quality of answers to all questions, and your Internet skills demonstrated while using this web page.
